About Matthias Bouquet

My name is Matthias Bouquet, and I've always had a deep-seated passion for science and problem-solving. This drive led me to graduate from the elite French engineering school, Ecole Centrale Paris, and later to earn a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Tokyo.

My trading career began in Japan, where I was thrown into the deep end, working at AIG during the tumultuous 2008 financial crisis. That experience was a trial by fire, cementing my understanding of market dynamics under extreme pressure.

From there, I moved to London to join JP Morgan's renowned Research team, where I honed my skills in derivatives strategy, advising some of the world's leading financial institutions.

Seeking a new challenge, I spent a year at a start-up hedge fund in Singapore, where I was at the forefront of applying cutting-edge Deep Learning methods to trading. I then returned to the vibrant London hedge fund scene, further refining my quantitative and systematic trading strategies.

Today, I focus on trading my personal portfolio while sharing the expertise I've accumulated over a decade and a half at the highest levels of finance. My goal is to distill the complex, institutional-grade strategies I've mastered into actionable insights for dedicated traders.

I'm a big fan of the outdoors, and I love to travel. I'm an avid snowboarder and skydiver, and I practice hypnotherapy.
